Last Updated: October 25, 2026

Welcome to Richwood Millwork & Design Ltd. ("Richwood," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website and provide general information regarding our custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, manufacturing, and installation services.

By accessing or using our website, you agree to these Terms. Any custom cabinetry or millwork project undertaken by Richwood will be subject to the applicable quotation, written agreement, and any mandatory requirements under applicable law.

1. Use of Our Website

You may use our website for lawful, personal, and legitimate business purposes. You agree not to use the website in any manner that could damage, disrupt, or impair its functionality, compromise its security, or interfere with other visitors.

All original content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, layouts, branding, and materials created or owned by Richwood Millwork & Design, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.

Website content may not be reproduced, distributed, modified, or used commercially without the appropriate authorization.

2. Consultations & Quotations

Submitting an enquiry or requesting a consultation or quotation does not guarantee acceptance of a project or establish a contractual relationship.

Richwood reserves the right to evaluate project requirements, availability, scope, and scheduling before accepting work.

Quotations and estimates are based on the information available at the time of preparation and may be subject to revision due to changes in measurements, materials, finishes, design requirements, site conditions, or supplier pricing.

The validity period and conditions of each quotation will be specified in the applicable document.

3. Project Engagement

Once a project is accepted, the specific terms of the engagement will be established through a written quotation, project agreement, or other applicable contractual documentation.

These documents may outline:

  • Project scope and specifications.

  • Cabinetry materials, finishes, and hardware.

  • Drawings, dimensions, and design approvals.

  • Manufacturing and installation requirements.

  • Pricing, applicable taxes, and payment schedules.

  • Estimated production and installation timelines.

  • Client responsibilities and site requirements.

  • Warranty provisions and applicable exclusions.

The terms of the applicable project agreement will govern the project where they differ from these general website Terms, subject to applicable law.

4. Payments

Deposits, progress payments, and final balances are payable according to the terms specified in the applicable quotation or project agreement.

Richwood may accept payment through approved methods, including electronic bank transfers, cheques, or other arrangements communicated directly to the client.

Where permitted by the applicable agreement and law, outstanding payments may result in the suspension of work, rescheduling of manufacturing or installation, or other remedies available to Richwood.

Any applicable taxes will be identified in project quotations and invoices.

5. Drawings, Designs & Intellectual Property

Drawings, renderings, cabinet layouts, manufacturing files, technical documents, and other original design materials developed by Richwood remain subject to applicable intellectual property rights and the terms of the relevant project agreement.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, documents and technical information provided by Richwood are intended for the specific project for which they were prepared.

Clients may not reproduce, distribute, or authorize third parties to use proprietary manufacturing drawings, CNC files, or other protected materials except as permitted by the applicable agreement or law.

Photographs and other project materials may be used for Richwood's portfolio, website, or marketing only where Richwood has the necessary rights and permissions to do so.

6. Project Timelines & Installation

Production and installation timelines are established based on project requirements, approved drawings, material availability, manufacturing schedules, and site readiness.

While Richwood makes reasonable efforts to meet agreed schedules, timelines may be affected by circumstances such as:

  • Changes to the approved project scope.

  • Delays in client approvals or material selections.

  • Supplier or manufacturer delays.

  • Unforeseen site conditions.

  • Delays involving other trades or contractors.

  • Events outside our reasonable control.

Any schedule changes will be addressed in accordance with the applicable project agreement and legal requirements.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate project information and ensuring appropriate site access and readiness, as specified in their project agreement.

7. Quality, Warranty & Limitations of Liability

Richwood aims to provide quality craftsmanship and professional manufacturing and installation services.

Any applicable workmanship or product warranties, including their duration, coverage, and exclusions, will be outlined in the relevant project agreement or warranty documentation.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Richwood is not responsible for losses or delays resulting from circumstances outside its reasonable control or from work performed by unrelated third parties.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability, warranty, consumer protection, or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Any additional limitations of liability will be governed by the applicable project agreement and enforceable legal requirements.

8. Changes, Cancellations & Refunds

Requests to change or cancel a confirmed project will be reviewed in accordance with the applicable project agreement and any rights provided by law.

Because custom cabinetry and architectural millwork are manufactured to specific measurements, materials, and project requirements, changes made after approval or the commencement of production may affect pricing, scheduling, or material usage.

Any applicable cancellation charges, refund arrangements, and costs associated with work already completed or materials ordered will be determined under the project agreement and applicable law.

Submitting a general website enquiry does not create a payment obligation.

9. Website Information & Project Imagery

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information presented on our website is accurate and current.

However, descriptions, photographs, material examples, and other website content are provided for general informational and illustrative purposes.

Some images may represent design inspiration, material possibilities, or examples of cabinetry and millwork styles rather than completed Richwood projects.

Actual materials, finishes, dimensions, and project outcomes will depend on the approved specifications and individual project requirements.

Website content does not replace an approved quotation, drawing, or project agreement.

10. Third-Party Links

Our website may contain links to third-party websites, suppliers, social media platforms, or other external resources.

These websites are operated independently and may be subject to their own terms, conditions, and privacy policies.

Richwood is not responsible for the content, availability, security, or practices of third-party websites that we do not own or control.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically to reflect changes in our website, business operations, services, or applicable legal requirements.

Updated Terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date.

Changes to these website Terms will not automatically modify existing signed project agreements.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory rights or protections available under applicable consumer protection or other legislation.
